The Bartlett UCL – Building Better, Season 3: Black Voices in the Built Environment
In October 2022, our founder Kudzai Matsvai joined the Bartlett’s dean, Christoph Linder, and Omoleye Ojuri, Honorary lecturer at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University, and World Bank Scholar for an episode of the ‘Building Better’ podcast.
Through this discussion, they explored the legacies of racism and colonialism in the built environment, and the ways that these lasting legacies are still prevalent today. As well as this, the episode explored some ways that we can continue to move forward and progress anti-racist agendas in architecture and the built environment.
